The Masuria region, known for its beautiful landscapes and rich nature, is facing new climate challenges. The EcoReadyMasuria Living Lab brings together farmers, scientists, and local communities to collaboratively build the resilience of agriculture to changing climate conditions. Through innovative practices, collaboration, and engagement, we help Masurian farms adapt to these challenges while protecting biodiversity
and ensuring food security.
The EcoReadyMasuria Living Lab is a modern collaboration space where scientists, farmers, local authorities, and communities come together to co-create and test solutions addressing real challenges. EcoReadyMasuria focuses on adapting agriculture in Masuria to climate change. Through the modelling of the adaptation scenarios to climate change, testing new agricultural practices in farms, and workshops, we co-create practical solutions for resilient agriculture.
Strategic crops: barley, corn, sunflower, red clover.
Dairy cattle breeding: Better nutrition and feed management.
Environmental protection: Maintaining soil quality and water as well as biodiversity.
Masurian farms are facing droughts, soil erosion, and declining yields, which may threaten the stability of food production and the local ecosystem in the future. EcoReadyMasuria is seeking solutions that protect nature and increase agricultural profitability – even under challenging conditions.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
