The Masuria region, known for its beautiful landscapes and rich nature, is facing new climate challenges. EcoReadyMasuria Living Lab brings together farmers, scientists, and local communities to collaboratively build the resilience of agriculture against changing climatic conditions. Through innovative practices, cooperation, and commitment, we help Masurian farms adapt to these challenges while protecting biodiversity
and ensuring food security.
The Living Lab EcoReadyMasuria is a modern collaboration space where scientists, farmers, local authorities, and communities come together to co-create and test solutions addressing real challenges. EcoReadyMasuria focuses on adapting agriculture in Masuria to climate change. Through modeling adaptation scenarios to climate change, testing new agricultural practices in farms, and workshops, we co-create practical solutions for:
Strategic crops: barley, corn, sunflower, red clover.
Dairy cattle breeding: Better nutrition
and feed management.
Environmental protection: Maintaining soil quality
and water as well as biodiversity.
Masurian farms are facing droughts, soil erosion, and declining yields, which could threaten the stability of food production and the local ecosystem in the future. EcoReadyMasuria is seeking solutions that allow for nature conservation and increased profitability in agriculture – even under challenging conditions.
WHY IS THIS IMPORTANT?
We invite farmers, researchers, and the local community of Masuria to collaborate. Learn more about our mission, the agricultural products we focus on, and our team.
