Eco-Ready: building resilient food systems for Europe
What is Eco-Ready?
Eco-Ready is a pan-European research and implementation project that brings together scientists, farmers, local communities, and policymakers to enhance the resilience of the European Union's food systems to climate change and other challenges. The project is funded under the Horizon Europe program and focuses on the joint development of practical solutions that support sustainable agriculture and environmental protection.
What distinguishes the project?
Eco-Ready is a unique initiative aimed at:
- Adapting agriculture to the effects of climate change,
- Promoting sustainable agricultural practices,
- Protecting biodiversity,
- Building resilience in European food systems.
As part of the project, a network was created of 10 Living Labs, which operate in various regions of Europe to test and implement innovative solutions in practice:
