Simulation workshops "Resilience of Masuria agriculture in crisis situations"

On March 19, 2026, an online simulation workshop titled "Resilience of Masuria Agriculture in Crisis Situations" took place. The meeting was structured as an interactive decision-making simulation, during which participants collaboratively worked on developing key elements of a crisis response plan for the agricultural sector in the region.

During the workshop, three realistic scenarios of disruptions to the food system were analyzed: the outbreak of a highly contagious cattle disease, the sudden cessation of milk collection in the region, and armed actions affecting the functioning of production and processing. Participants, working in teams, identified the most significant risks and developed actionable measures to be taken within the first 72 hours, with a view to stabilizing the situation and addressing crisis communication.

The meeting was attended by representatives from public administration, advisory institutions, veterinary inspection, the processing sector, agricultural organizations, the scientific community, and farmers.

The outcome of the workshop was the formulation of preliminary recommendations and regional priorities, which served as the basis for drafting the document "Contingency planning for Masurian agriculture."
