In March 2025, testing of adaptive solutions began in the EcoReadyMasuria demonstration farms. Throughout the growing season, tests were conducted under real agricultural production conditions.
Each farm tested one solution addressing specific climate and production challenges:
- Zajączkowo (Bakałarzewo Municipality) – the use of fodder trees in milk production was tested. The solution aimed to mitigate the effects of drought by providing an alternative feed source and improving its quality under changing climate conditions.
- Koniecbór (Raczki Municipality) – fodder herbs were implemented in the cultivation of red clover. This practice was intended to increase the crop's resilience to climate stress and improve the nutritional value of animal feed.
- Skomack Wielki (Stare Juchy Municipality) – conditioning of corn seeds before sowing was tested. The goal was to improve germination and increase plant resistance to adverse and variable weather conditions.
- Dowiaty (Budry Municipality) – soil biopreparations were used in barley cultivation. This solution aimed to enhance soil fertility, increase its ability to retain water, and support plant health.
- Monety (Kowale Oleckie Municipality) – mixed cultivation of sunflowers and corn was tested. This practice was intended to increase yield stability and support biodiversity in the production system.
Additionally, all solutions were concurrently tested on the farm in Urbanki (Wieliczki Municipality), allowing for their comparison within a single production system.
The results of the tests conducted are scheduled to be summarized in the fall of 2025.
