On December 1, 2025, a workshop entitled "From Field to Agricultural Policy: Together for the Future of Masurian Agriculture" took place in Sokółki. The event brought together farmers, scientists, advisors, and representatives of public institutions, creating a space for joint discussion on the directions of agricultural development in the region.
During the plenary session, the results of research and tests conducted in EcoReadyMasuria demonstration farms were presented, covering key products for the region: barley, corn, red clover, sunflower, and milk. Current support instruments under the CAP were also discussed, along with possible directions for changes in EU agricultural policy after 2027.
The second part of the workshop was interactive and based on working in five thematic groups. Participants identified barriers to implementing innovative practices, developed systemic recommendations, and indicated actions feasible at the local level. Discussions included topics such as selecting resilient varieties, increasing crop biodiversity, seed conditioning, using biopreparations, and developing agroforestry systems.
The outcome of the workshops was the development of a set of priority recommendations for agricultural policy and local actions supporting the adaptation of Mazurian agriculture to climate change. The meeting concluded with networking among participants.
